Explore Maruyama Park, a public park known for its cherry trees. During the first half of April, when the cherry trees come into bloom, the park fills with people admiring the blossoms and photographing the quintessentially Japanese sight. The park's focal point, a weeping cherry tree, has a particularly attractive form, whether in blossom or displaying green leaves. Throughout the year, the park offers a welcome amount of greenery, fragrant flowers, and trees providing shade, making it a particularly popular place to take a pleasant stroll. • In the oldest park in Kyoto, we could not help but go, especially its jewel is the temple of Yasaka. They came in the evening, though the trays with feeding of the people who had come were working in full. What to say... There are no special delights, although the park is quite pleasant. It was opened in 1886 and 800 cherry blossoms and, among them, the famous "Gion" cherry tree were planted on its territory. But we did not get to the cherry blossoms, it was in the first days of November. The riot of colors in the crowns of trees was already gaining strength, but did not reach its climax. So I won't put the highest ball, but not bad, not bad.

  • Maruyama Park is crowded with tourists from neighboring Asian countries, but if you take a walk early in the morning, it is less popular and quiet. The couple was previously seen saying it was an affair on Saturday afternoon, but they were pushed by tourists and destroyed. On the road from Shimizu, there were a lot of uncles who had been extending under their noses, whether they were asking for invitations from their dads, and a couple of water that was motivated to squeeze as much as they could. In a noisy atmosphere.

  • It is one of the best place to visit during spring. Beautiful cherry blossom trees are everywhere. There are also many places to sit down and relax. You can get beer and food from street restarants. A lot to see and good place to spend time with friends and family. A lot of photo spots too.
  • I went during winter, so the autumn leaves were all but gone. However, this is a very good place to see them when in season. There are food stalls if you're hungry, and you can proceed to the main park area for some very nice photos. This is a small walk from the main Gion shopping street, so definitely give this place a visit.
