  The artworks had reflected the darkness and cruelness that the war brought to the people. It made us think a lot and discuss a lot, trying to understand why the people still protesting nowadays  more »

  Remember to peek into the US base next door and look out for the local tombs within the base grounds, that's when you realise how much impact the military have on the lives of the locals.  more »

  So I took my wife here because we love arts and history and this place obviously had both. I expected use to be there no more than 30 minutes to a half hour but we ended up staying well over three and still not being able to explore all of what we wanted in an unlimited time frame. We had to get the kids. But if your looking for a place that goes deep into okinawain history and then some, this place is it. The exhibits are lively and catches your eyes. We walked around with the free iPod you get there, set the language to English and ventured to as many spot as possible listening to the history behind so many different things about Okinawa. This place will keep here I think for about 5-6 hours.
