  • I go to aquariums here and there with my husband who likes to visit the aquarium. This aquarium was the first time we both visited Kyushu. Because I live in the Chubu region, I visit Nagoya Port Aquarium and Toba Aquarium, so it is a comparison, but when I saw the building from the outside, I was impressed by the building as if it were a museum. The exhibition inside is so-so. It seems that we didn't have much of an exhibition we wanted to see. I also watched a dolphin show, but it's a little more like that. Is it a kindergarten or elementary school excursion on the day? There were a lot of children, so I think it's just the right way to see the show for the kids. It wasn't an adult show. Is the place to eat in the basement of the building? We had it at the restaurant. You can enjoy it because it is built just like seeing under the pool of the dolphin show. Because I could only kill half a day in the aquarium, I tried to stretch my legs to the adjacent park, but I was able to kill only about 10 minutes. It's great for walking and cycling, but... It was a peaceful feeling on the way to and from the battery-powered train, and this was a good experience.

  • Entry fee is 2300yen for adults. Loved it there and felt that we had tons of fun. There's African penguins (first time seeing penguins), dolphins, otters, seals and a lot of cute sea animals. There were a lot of underwater sea creatures that was pretty cool to see too. Love it that it was not crowded too.
  • Good place to visit in Fukuoka province, Japan. Can take train or ferry from city to get there. Very close to a beautiful flower park. Will be better if have more contents in English
