Find a place of tranquility and calm within the urban hubbub of the capital at Koishikawa Korakuen Garden, a green area that represents one of the oldest and best preserved sites in the city. The well maintained gardens were first developed by a feudal lord in 1629, and have since become a treasured public area, providing a welcome oasis of greenery and seasonal bloom within the sprawling city. Take a stroll around the park's main pond, admiring the contrast between the garden's natural colors and the dominant grey skyline of the city behind it. • The promise and the realization of a nice walk in this park very well maintained. It feels good, cut off in a way from the city around us. Calm and silence reign in this park yet popular with many families. Unfortunately there weren't many trees in bloom at this time of year: the park must be beautiful when it happens.

  • It is a garden that spreads around the pond. Because a lot of iris are planted, the season is recommended. There is no café corner or vending machine in the park, so you should bring your own drinks.

  • One of the oldest and most famous landscape gardens of the Kanto Region. The modern buildings in the background might be an eyesore for some visitors, but overall, the garden is serene and peaceful. Also, very conveniently located next to the Tokyo Dome entertainment hub for those seeking a change of ambience later.
  • Beautiful and well maintained landscape garden. It's lovely and tranquil with lots of ponds, bridged and stone sculptures. It is like any other Japanese Garden. They have tried to create miniatures of many famous places. The walking trails weave through the gardens and all the viewpoints. The views are amazing. It can be enjoyed in all seasons though I was told that it is at it's best during Autumn and Spring. It is not hard to imagine as there are dozens of maple, cherry and ginkgo trees. It even has a rice field tucked away in a corner. It's ideally situated very close to the Tokyo Dome and the local train and subway stations.
