Unlike most buildings in the area, Asakusa Shrine survived the Tokyo air raids in 1945 and remained one of the most popular Shinto shrines in the city. Built in 1649, the temple features the gongen-zukuri architectural style, in which the worship hall and the main sanctuary form a shape resembling the letter H. The temple, also called the "Shrine of the Three Gods," was designated an Important Cultural Property in 1951 due to its historic and cultural importance. This is Two Tenmon. There are few tourists when it is with the same gate, Kaminarimon. It is called Two Tenmon because it is enshrined on the left and right, and it is an eight-legged gate structure because it consists of eight pillars. Asakusa Shrine Map Lord Matsuri Doshi Masinchi (Fujinomatsuchi) Hinomae Hamanari Hinokuma Naruhito Hinomae Takenari Hinokuma Takeshi (Hinokuma No Mori) With the spirits of these three people it is said to be "Three Company Rights" The Sansha Festival, which takes place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in May, is a very famous festival, and the city of Asakusa has been a festival and some people have come to see it once, but there are many strong groups. The relationship between Sensoji Temple and Asakusa Shrine: Asakusaji temple was found in sumida river, and the Buddha was enshrined as a true buddha. Asakusa Shrine was the place where two brothers and a Buddhist statue were enshrined in the "Seikannon Seion Bodhisattva". In other words, Asasoji is the Holy Kannon Seion Bodhisattva, and Asakusa Shrine is enshrined as a god by three people involved in it. There was a memorial for the tortoise. The anecdote which was erected is not understood whether it is because the story of the Asakusa neighborhood often appears frequently in the story certainly. It is very rare that it is put stuck in the back of the right hand immediately after entering the couple's dog precincts.
浅草寺二天門と並んで浅草神社の社殿全体が国の重要文化財に指定されています。朱塗りの拝殿は豪華で、目を見張ります。いつ行っても混雑していますが、隣の浅草寺よりはノンビリとできました。 more »The entire shrine of Asakusa Shrine, along with Sensoji Nitenmon, is designated as an important cultural property of the country. The red-painted shrine is gorgeous and spectacular. It's crowded whenever I go, but it was more than the sensoji temple next door.
Lovely place to visit in Asakusa. Beautiful shrines and nice architectures. Must visit place if you have 1 day to look see when in Tokyo.
I visited Asakusa Shrine around 6am and it was a very meditative experience to watch the place yet so quiet because the shops are still closed and only the passersby and people praying were seen. I was also amazed at how meticulously the incense holder was cleaned and shined.
