Santa Maria di Monte dei Cappuccini is a late-Renaissance-style church on a hill overlooking the River Po near the bridge of Piazza Vittorio Veneto in Turin, Italy. It was built for the Capuchin Order; construction began in 1583, and was completed in 1656. The original design was by Ascanio Vitozzi, but was completed by the engineer Giacomo Soldati.

  Unfortunately we arrived too late and the building was closed. The magnificent view of Turin in Clear weather remains. The sunset over the city with the lights lighting up one after the other was beautiful! Mounted is a pleasant little walk. This can be a very good compromise if you don't have the time or the will to go to the more distant Superga Basilica. (Visit in April 2018)

  This is a great place to get a superb view right across the city. You can get a bus from the city centre to the base of the hill which leaves you with a steep-ish but reasonably short walk up to the church. The church itself is also beautiful with a stunning Madonna and Child forming the backdrop to the alter.

  Probably the best view of the city and of the Alps in the distance. It's absolutely stunning, specially at sunset. Although it's at the top of a hill, it's quite easy getting to the top. Definitely recommend the visit.
