The family tradition started in the early XX century with Attilio Biagiotti who owned a leather workshop located behind Piazza Pitti. His son Gino learned from his father all the secrets of artisan workmanship in the best florentine tradition.
In 1950 Gino together with his son Mario, revived Attilio's business and opened the Bottega Giotti store in the Lenzi Palace located in one of the most beautiful squares in the center of Florence, near the Arno river. It's been almost 65 years now and Bottega Giotti is still headquartered where it started. The company is run by Mario Biagiotti along with his daughter Alessandra, the designer of the Bottega Giotti collection, and his son Paolo.
Nowadays Bottega Giotti carefully preserves the family traditions started a century ago. The quality and elegance of the products have always encountered great success especially when it comes to iconic feather-light handcrafted woven leather goods - the hallmark of Bottega Giotti.
In the last years the company has expanded internationally to America, Europe and Asia, which called for larger production capacities. The factory has moved to the Marche region, southeast of Florence. Retail stores have appeared in Taipei and Moscow (opening soon).
Bottega Giotti is now a well-established company with international presence, but, amazingly, it managed to preserve the tradition of producing handmade leather goods started many years ago by Attilio and carefully carried through years by his children.

Excellent leather shop that still values quality and local production. It's still family owned and you will meet them whenever you walk into the shop. You will receive a very good service and consultation from people who have been doing this since centuries. Happy to support that!
Best place for leather jackets. People that own it, people that work there, are the best! Top level service. Great variety of choices, colors and styles. Leather does not smell like leather - that means the leather is high quality unlike cheap shops around.
