  • We visited Prambanan after Borobudur and probably by the impression borobudur made, we liked Prambanan, but messy. There are several temples, many stone heaps and a large park around it. Well worth visiting despite the high entrance fee for tourists. A combi ticket, for 2 consecutive days is a bit cheaper than two separate tickets. There is a train that shows another part of the park and other temples. Despite the fact that we do not like these tourist things we think it is highly recommended. On departure of course plenty of shops, but also nice toes to have a drink (along with a considerable amount of "locals". We visited the Ramayana ballet in the evening with the illuminated temples in the background and enjoyed it very much. For €25 you book a VIP ticket: own entrance, drink, places for the stage: worth more than the price if you love Indonesian culture.

  • Beautiful, awesome, amazing.. I'm sure those words will come from you if you visit this place. This temple is really beautiful and has a very popular history. You can browse the history from Google.. the area is very large and clean. There are many temples in this area so I suggest you to come in the morning therefore you can visit all the temples.
  • Amazing place, very well looked after too. We paid 580.000 for combined ticket which includes free coffee or tea and it was worth the money. There are lots of temples here that are still in ruins. The place is massive and there are alot of things that you can do so you could easily spend there a whole afternoon, however we did a tour so had only 2 hours there. The negative side was having to go through a maze of people trying to sell us stuff on the way out.
