  We visited this crater as part of a full-day excursion. From the Salak Homestay we left for a short scooter to the starting point of the hike. In the beginning there is a kind of path laid out with all sorts of stones. Personally I did not like this walk, just give me the ordinary (jungle) subsurface, Maarja.... I think we have walked about 1.5-2 hours. I don't remember exactly. Sometimes it was reasonably climbing, but it was good to do. Good walking shoes are needed. We had to climb the tree trunk or balance it. Was a nice trip. At one point, there were already gusts rotten eggs of air. Sign that we were apparently almost at the crater. And then all of a sudden he is there.... What a wonderful view. We sat here for a while to enjoy the view before we would walk back the same way. This one went a lot quicker anyway:-) The rotten egg air also struck me with a giant. I do not think that the mouth cap is necessary.
