#10 of 181 in Things to do in Bandung
Architectural Building · Tourist Spot
Take a moment to appreciate the Indo-European architecture and attractive gardens of Gedung Sate, and snap a photo of two. Designed by Dutch architect J. Gerber, the building fuses neoclassical elements with characteristics of traditional Indonesian design; you'll recognize it by the central pinnacle resembling a skewer. Originally the headquarters of the Dutch East Indies department of Transport, Public Works, and Water Management, the building now serves as the seat of the governor of West Java.
