Savandurga, Dabguli

#1 of 7 in Parks in Ramanagara District
An attraction to both picnickers and pilgrims, Savandurga provides both spiritual satisfaction and leisure time. Rising 1226 m (4020 ft) above the sea level, the hills serve as a prime destination for cave explorers, rock climbers, and adventurers. The highlands offers top class climbing routes, one of the world-best. Go climbing or go on a hike to explore the wilderness of the Deccan plateau, with ample trails and tracks. Most of the trails and climbing spaces face south, which implies that the rocks become quite hot during the day. See the endangered yellow-throated bulbul, as well as sloth bear and leopards, for whom the hills represent a home. • It's a good one day trip from Bangalore. Being the Asia's largest monolith, it won't be easy to trek. I would suggest you to wear shoes with good grip. It's also not that far from the city.
  • Asia's largest monolith. Don't underestimate this piece of rock 😂 Early morning trek is the best (preferably before sunrise) so that u can view the sunrise. If you're lucky and the clouds are clear u can view the whole Bangalore city (summer is the best time for that view)
  • Good place for a one day trip. Do plan your trip in early morning so that you don’t get the sun. Also, this place is good for trip in the winters. It’s very difficult to trek in the summertime and it’s closed during monsoon. The trek is very good and challenging with few very steep slopes. You need to be careful while coming down.
  • Nice place for one day trip near Bengaluru. Try to start climbing as early as possible in the morning. It gets hotter in the noon time even in the month of January, so try to reach the peak at earliest. The scenic beauty is awesome from the top. Arrows are marked on several stones to guide climbers. If you want to enjoy nature within a short time period, go for it.
  • Amazing place... nice Hill.. Once you have to visit here definitely you will want to go Again.. lovely
