Indira Gandhi Musical Fountain, Bengaluru

3.5
End the day with a water, light and music show of Indira Gandhi Musical Fountain, one of the most technically advance and the largest fountain in India. Set against a large triangular stone memorial, the water and light make peculiar shapes, following the rhythm of the traditional Indian and Western themes. Created in 1995 and set in the namesake park, the fountain features high-tech multimedia technology. The first computerized fountain in the country, the place is still very popular and gets crowded over the weekends. • Not exciting at all. period. 2-3 year old kids may find it amusing but adults will not. It's a small place and not maintained well. There will be 30 minutes show which will repeat after 30 minutes break. As of today the are charging ₹30 for an adult and ₹20 for parking. If you have never seen a musical fountain then try it otherwise I'll recommend skipping this place. Usually people will not see the whole show.
  • Generally clean, lots of trees, fresh air, well manicured lawns and gardens. People come for walking, mild jogging, practice yoga, kids kicking a ball around. Not really crowded as some of the bigger parks. Great place.
  • Musical fountain and park is nice place to spend in the evenings. However, the musical fountain can be better. It has feel of rundown and not improving. For entry fee that is collect (Rs.30/adult), they could invest in better sound system, more water action in tune with music and new set of songs. Gets boring after a while.
  • a superb place to hangout. we can see all the names of martyrs of various wars. also models of ships, tankers kept.
  • Kids will enjoy the light show. Be on time.. Hope no power issues to see the full show else time lost of the show.
