The seven fairy tale-like towers of Fisherman's Bastion offer views of the Danube and Pest side of the city. Built in the late 19th century and restored after World War II, this Neo-Gothic and Neo-Romanesque structure within World Heritage Site Buda Castle takes its name from the medieval fisherman who defended these city walls. On the Buda side of the city, walk up or take a funicular to the top of Castle Hill to get to the bastion, near the 14th-century Matthias Church. Step inside one of the seven towers for spectacular views across the Danube River. Incredible views and architecture! You can enjoy a coffee and a chimney cake at the lookout. There is also a Starbucks nearby, but I wouldn’t recommend that as it’s so busy. Enjoy a tasty treat while you look at the view.

This Fisherman’s Bastion is so impressive. All of white stones are so incredible and it makes the bastion more beautiful in my opinion. It is a very good place for a view of the whole Parliament, however, it is very crowded. A lot of people want to take pictures, so you may have to wait for people to finish. If you avoid going there at busy time it will give you more pleasure to enjoy the bastion.
