Thousands of colorful flowers at Bloemenmarkt adorn the waterfront of Singel channel. Installed on floating houseboats, the shops offer a large variety of tulips, narcissus, and seeds of numerous plants for creating a home garden. Get a colorful bouquet, or take a walk along the fragrant alley. If you're planning to take some plants out of the country, make sure you have a customs-cleared stamp for export. Меня еще не было на белом свете, когда Амстердам был пленен тюльпанами. Сюда можно прийти посмотреть на красивые фотографии и огромные луковицы, заманчивые цены и сам рынок, палатки стоят на воде, на ... more »
I wasn't in the world when Amsterdam was captivated by tulips. Here you can come to look at beautiful photos and huge bulbs, tempting prices and the market itself, tents stand on the water, against the background of houses. After reading the comments of users, I did not dare to buy. Although 100 bulbs for 10 is very tempting!View original

I loved the market, lots of seeds for any kind of flowers and plants, just perfect for someone who's into gardening! Of course also a good place to get all the touristy stuff. Our guide warned us though that the prices for all the cafes would be much higher here than in normal non-touristy places and recommended us to search for cafes a bit away from it.

It’s a typical tourist trap but still is a fun place to walk around. It’s puzzling why this place is called the ‘floating’ market because it is not the same thing as a floating market as in Bangkok, Thailand. There are lots of vendors selling prepackaged bulbs, silk flowers and souvenirs to take home for your loved ones.
