Follow in the footsteps of Guam's colonial rulers as you stroll through Plaza de Espana, the central square and main park space of the island's capital village. The plaza marks the site of the former governor's palace, used during the Spanish occupation. The complex was mostly destroyed in 1944 during heavy shelling. Today, you can admire the few surviving buildings--including the chocolate house and the garden house--or simply enjoy the lush nature that has partly reclaimed the historic site. Consider visiting early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid busloads of tourists who gather here during the middle of the day. Plaza de Espana Reviews
more »It seems that there are the most tourists around here. There are a lot of statues in Plaza Espana, but everyone was taking pictures of Guan's letter Instagram. There were things that were automatically kissing couples from places away from the top or away. I don't think it was much of a recommendation. I wonder if the history of the Gam of the angle is not related! A park with stones is within walking distance.
ちょっとした公園です。 聖マリア大聖堂の隣りにあります。 向かえにはグアムミュージアムもあります。 道路に車を止めて見に行けば良いかと思います。 more »It is a little park. It is next to St. Mary's Cathedral. There is also the Guam Museum. I think it's a good idea to park your car on the road and go and see it.
Drove by many times but stopped in for the first time, very interesting historical spot. The Chocolate House is called that because in the late 1700's and 1800's they served the Governors guests hot chocolate there, very much worth stopping in to see!
Very beautiful historical place. The cathedral is there, the hagatna post office is close by, hagatna police precinct is close and one of the best thing is there is a affordable hot dog stand near by. There's drinks and chips available too. Awesome atmosphere.
