The Legon Botanical Gardens is a very nice naturalized area to bring a family. It boasts a variety of fun features and activities. One of the most memorable activities is the suspended walkways. They are about 30 feet from the ground and are suspended between large wooden towers which provide very nice views of the park and beyond. There is also a trail that provides a nice walk through a tree covered area and around a large pond. The pond has a large island covered in trees which provides a home for dozens of birds. There is also a large playground area for children. This area features several playgrounds and climbing structures, trampolines, and a pair of small zip lines. There is also a fenced area filled with the cutest rabbits and guinea pigs. There were some baby guinea pigs as well. Finally, for the adults there is a large and challenging climbing structure at the back of the park. The gardens feature plenty of shady benches and rest areas for relaxation and watching the kids play.
