See chief's regalia and traditional musical instruments at National Museum of Ghana, the largest and oldest of the six state-run museums in Ghana. The museum's impressive collection of artifacts includes items from the Stone Age, with bronze heads, wood carvings, traditional textiles, colorful beads, gold weights, head stools, and various pottery items among the most important objects to see. Items from other African countries obtained through trade and gifts are also on display here. Tour a contemporary sculpture collection scattered around the building and its spacious yard. The complex also houses a small art gallery, featuring works by contemporary artists. more »I'm disappointed to be here. This is because of the interior exhibition and the museum. This is for the renovation. I've been asking questions from friends at the hotel and in the local area. There is no information about the museum. Now that I'm here, I'm walking around the flowers outside the museum. There are all kinds of interesting sculptures. There's also a front. has been in disrepair.
They can do better... Parts of statues are falling off... though they want to maintain them in their original form but they can do a better job.. And the environment is very clean and inviting
Main hall under renovation for a few more months. Was shown to a room with photos of key buildings in Accra and around the country. Polite staff. Some statues in the lawn but description so a bit hard to understand. Still worth a visit.
