Champon Pearl Farm reviews
After a disappointment visiting an off-shore pearl farm on Huahine, we were delighted with the private tour and personal attention at the Champon Pearl Farm on Taha'a. The pearl cultivation process... more »
The Farm is charming and the explanation very good but I felt cheated on this place. The Pearl farm has an extensive inventory of pearls ranging from 180 usd to 35,000 usd dollars for a collar. We... more »
Beware of this place! I bought this pearl for about $140 online from them, aside from the fact that it is loaded with indentations it arrived with a huge scratch across it's surface (half of the pearl covered with it) It was in a fabric pouch, could no way get injured like this during shipping.Seller could no way not know it was scratched like this , and sent this damaged pearl like this without disclosing it is scratched in the description or in the listing photo. When I've contacted them about the scratch, Maeva tried to convince me that this is a great pearl, she knows it's color and luster well and how such good value I've got for my money,( so she must have checked it out real good before sending it if she knew how it looks so much) but, she says I should of been aware that it is a C grade pearl and such I bought it with acknowledging such imperfections (she tried to tell me that a scratch considered to be imperfection in pearl grading). She tried to convince me that the scratch could be included generally in a C grade pearl along with dents When I told her that it is damage not imperfection, she denied of knowing of it, and trying to force me to send this back on my own expense. As of now despite many email exchanges she is still sticking to her story of not knowing of the scratch and that I should send it back at my own expense.Or that I should buy more stuff from them and than she will give me some discount. (heck no!) My advice to anybody: do not buy from them online. You don't know what you getting and than it's a whole lot of wasting your time and energy to get your money back.Ps. Much better quality pearls for half us much can be bought pretty much anywhere. Copy pasted her words when I've said to her that the pearl has scratches on it: So Maevas own words: "in the description of the product it is well said that the pearl you got is a C quality pearl. To make it clearer, for those that do not know much about classifying the pearls, it is also specified what a C quality pearl : "C Grade pearls have some surface defects but the pearls choosen for you have been selected for their exeptionnal colors and luster." The necklace you got has a pearl with a very nice and exceptional color, a very good luster, but some imperfections more or less deep. It is a C quality pearl, a very nice C quality pearl (I remember it)."
What a great spot to visit. The staff was very knowledgeable and so friendly. They have a very large selection to choose from. I highly recommend this pearl farm.
