The tour is guided and very affordable (3 dollars). The guide teaches you about the different species of trees and plants along the way. You can opt for a short route or a long route. We stayed an hour and a half. Chris, who runs the place is a great person. You will learn from natural medicine and the remedies that Mother Earth gives us. It was actually a short but enriching visit.
Our guided tour of this Amazonian ethnobotanical park, done by biologist Chris Canaday, was extraordinary. Whatever else you might experience in the way of nature tours, you would benefit from adding a stop in Puyo to see and hear what is offered here. Chris' knowledge of the medicinal uses of many, many types of plants and trees, learned from his Shuar wife Teresa Shiki, is exceptionally broad and deep. Not to be missed.
Beautiful adventure in the rainforest. Excellent place to spot unique forest wildlife such as insects. A great place to learn about the indigenous cultures and their medicinal uses of plants as well as wildlife. Plus it's easy to access.
