Golitsyn Path, Novyi Svit

#1 of 38 in Outdoors in Crimea
Must see · Hiking Trail · Outdoor Activity
Along the bay, Golitsyn Path takes you through subtropical forests and stony trails to the botanical reserve of Novyi Svit. Stretching for some 5.5 km (3.5 mi), this road meanders along the Green Bay's cliff side, 30-50 m (100-165 ft) above the sea. You can reach it from the bay's southwestern shore. Adventurous tourists peer off the edge, and some do a cliff dive into the sea. You'll also have a chance to see the private beach of the last Russian tsar, Nicholas II. Don't miss the grotto where Prince Golitsyn once threw lavish parties for his guests; the cave also has a freshwater spring inside.
