Ruin Landmark Must See
Walk through the remains of , once a settlement of different peoples, particularly those from the Crimean Karaite culture. While the origins of the site are a mystery, numerous legends tell stories of Biblical and ancient roots. It's likely that the town dates back to Byzantine times, around the 6th century. Some believe it represents the rise of feudalism in Crimea around the year 1000. Here you can see remains of ancient monuments, guard towers, and man-made caves. Tour the former houses and palaces with windows facing vast green hills and cliffs, and enter the expansive complexes of cave dwellings. Some of the structures served as jails, others as temples. Read stories about medieval tortures that occurred in the secret chambers of this town. • You will find yourself in the place where the first settlers of Crimea lived in the 5-6 centuries. I would advise in Bakhchisarai to use the services of places that for 2000 000 will take you to the top of the mountain, show mind-blowing views, and in the cave city you will need to WORK, not to climb! Many people think that they will cope themselves - please, but remember - it's 2400 meters uphill ...

  • Historical attraction with old architecture. Spectacular views and nice healthy hike road. Very well recommended for active tourists Bring some water and snacks you do a small picknick on top of it. Enjoy local history and Crimea
  • Interesting! The entrance is 100 rubles for students. Take water and headwear with you as it gets pretty hot and sweaty on the way up
