  • We did the combo extravaganza and I highly recommend the combo. We learnt so much of Maori's culture through the cultural village tour. The tour talked about Maori's ships, fishing, herbal medicines, dance and of course the usage of coconut. The dinner buffet covers all kinds of cuisine, but do try the local dishes. They are the best! The open water show was equally impressive and very interactive at the end.
  • A well deserved 5 stars. The place it the perfect example of going the extra mile to be a great tourism attraction. Beautiful gardens and placement is perfect. The layout of the show is perfect with great views for all.
  • Amazing, really worth the full tour + food. The dance show over water is magical.
  • I did the village tour and the dinner and show, which was great! Have been in New Zealand for 6 months prior to coming to Rarotonga and was afraid it would pretty much be the same as the Maori culture in New Zealand (nothing wrong with the culture, just didn't want to pay again to see basically the same thing.) It definitely was not the same. Some things are similar but there is a lot different. Loved the village tour and getting to hear about the history, culture, information about the coconuts and how to open them! The dinner was very good, there is a variety of food too and they cater for most palates, including vegetarian. The show was impressive, my favorite part was the fire dancers but the whole thing is well done and the dancers are very talented! Also appreciated that they picked us up and dropped us off (and in an air conditioned bus!)
  • Show is spectacular. Would recommend to everyone visiting the island to go and see it.

Where to stay in Rarotonga

Since pristine white beaches and turquoise lagoons are never far away in Rarotonga, where you stay depends entirely on how much you want to spend. The hotels and resorts tend to cluster around the most scenic beaches and lagoons. At the higher end, luxury resorts offer pampering comfort, but often share their beaches with much more affordable accommodations. If you want to explore a certain part of the island, look for lodgings nearby: although the buses are extremely convenient, they tend to meander at a very slow pace.
