Moturakau, Aitutaki

#6 of 6 in Nature in Cook Islands
An island famed for appearing in reality television shows, the uninhabited Moturakau boasts lush natural scenery and blue waters ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and boating. Take a short jungle walk through the island forest and look for various plants and birds. As you walk across the warm sand, keep an eye out for coconut crabs. Though harmless, these creatures can pinch your feet with surprising strength. Reach the island by joining a lagoon tour or by renting a boat in Aitutaki. • Motu Rakau (Motu) Here is the main habitat for seabirds, the staff will take us into the jungle, in addition to introducing some of the jungle bushes, when the lucky time can also see a pair of seabirds couple feeding each other. The Motu Rakau is best known for the BBC's 2006 Challenge to survive, with a similar reality show coming here, including a similar program last year (but confirmed not to be the place where the South Korean SBS Bing is coming, hahaha ...). , at the shrub exit you can also see the recently used fire and coconut, day tours here, pause, time is also about 20-30 minutes.
