#2 of 75 in Wineries in Chile
In the foothills of the Andes, Vina Santa Rita occupies some of the best Chilean wine-growing lands and boasts one of the country's oldest aging cellars, designated as a national monument. Take a guided tour through the process of fermentation, storage, and bottling, and find out how the famous "120" wine got its name from soldiers who found a safe haven on this property during the war of independence. The hidden treasure of the winery is its private museum, housing nearly 2,000 pieces of pre-Columbian art. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Buin holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Vina Santa Rita and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • We hired the service of a guide in Santiago (Mr. Humberto) who suggested us the tour of the winery Santa Rita. The tour was fantastic, one of the best experiences in Chile. A super nice Tour and a lesson about wine and property. I would like to leave a special thanks to our guide in the winery (Silas), very kind and considerate.

  • We visited Santa Rita Winery at the beginning of the month of October. We went by Metro to Las Mercedes station and then we took the bus number 81 and we asked the driver to leave us at the winery. Arriving there they picked us up from the buggy and took us to the winery's headquarters. I liked the place and the reception. We opted for the premium tour. Our guide was the Enoc, excellent, very considerate! He explained everything about the winery, history and wine! The winery is beautiful, with its vineyards, gardens, church and even a beautiful house where it is currently a hotel. We love the premium tour, with cheese and wine tasting. I highly recommend the tour!

  • It's really awesome! The entire place is really good to know! I recommend for everyone! To Brazilians they have a really nice Sommelier talking native Portuguese in the tour. The tour with tasting is amazing, really worth it!
  • Nice tour. Good food, extraordinary wines.
