Created during the 19th century, the square houses many annual events and ceremonies, including 17th century reenactments. Go to the Bank of Butterfield, a completely restored building located in the square. It is the oldest bank in Bermuda and was built in 1776.   • The square is open, but the building is closed to visitors as is the pillories, etc. Would love to have known the story of the replica ship.  more »
  • We spent New Year's holiday on the islands and traveled to many sites. New Year's Eve Onion Drop is held here. A nice selection of restaurants and bars are within a 5 min walk as are the post office.....  more »
