One of the oldest cast iron lighthouses in the world, Gibb's Hill Lighthouse was built in 1844 by the British Army Royal Engineers. The 117 feet (35 m) tall lighthouse stands on top of Gibb's Hill and features a plaque and viewpoint that commemorates the visit of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. Climb the 185 steps to the top of the lighthouse to be rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of the area. Visit the lighthouse tea room, in the restored cottage of the lighthouse keeper, for a meal at the foot of the tower. • This was an awesome visit. Not a visit for the faint at heart as once you get to the top it's a very scary view but breath taking. You get to see the beauty of Bermuda. The gift shop has lovely souvenirs that's reasonably priced unlike other places on the island.
  • Went close to 4 PM on a clear day in the off season. 185 steps to the top with multiple levels where the history of the lighthouse is discussed. Amazing views at the top but beware the winds can be strong. Felt like my phone was going to fly out of my hands. The gift shop is right next door and its run by the lighthouse keeper themselves
