The present form of Mir Castle testifies to its turbulent history. Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance influences blend harmoniously to create this World Heritage-listed monument. The complex features exhibits, embankments, parks, ponds, and a chapel with the tomb of the last owner. View the reconstruction of the mid-18th century Rococo interior in the portrait hall and then rent an audio guide to learn more about the castle's history. You can taste some local cuisine at a restaurant in the basement. Amenities include a hotel and a gift shop. Be prepared to climb a lot of steep, narrow, winding stairways. Put Mir Castle into our Mir online itinerary planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

Mir Castle Reviews
We spent a day visiting two castles. This one was really beautiful inside, very different from UK castles. It was more like a chateau or stately home. The history of it goes back to when Minsk was in ... more »
Внешне замок красив как праздничный торт, внутри тоже неплох, но вот экспозиция при одинаковой цене с Несвижским замком гораздо более бедная. Тут надо либо уменьшать ценник для местных и граждан РФ, л... more »Externally, the castle is beautiful as a birthday cake, inside is also good, but the exhibition at the same price with Nesvizh Castle is much poorer. Here it is necessary either to reduce the price tag for local and citizens of the Russian Federation, or to saturate the exhibition with specific exhibits, rather than sketchy ones. Because the whole picture of the exhibition does not give. And the people in the castle work very responsive and good.
Interesting renovated castle in Belarus, good for a day trip. Kids will love the uneven steps and small passageways that take you to the top of the towers, older adults less so . Good exhibitions on the history of the castle, including its time as a concentration camp for Jews who were almost all sadly massacred. Rather bizarrely you can stay here overnight as a small hotel has opened in one small area. It certainly would be an experience, but one I am happy to miss :-)
Great historical place to visit. Take high and narrow stairs to the top of the tower, go down to the prison and castle basement. Enjoyed the performance and walk around the castle.
