  With a day ticket (€ 13) you have the possibility to complete a really rich program with guided tours and free garage use. Founded around 1100 by Margrave Leopold III, the monastery neuburg was to be expanded into an Austrian escorial by Emperor Charles VI in the 18th century. After his death, the financial resources were no longer available, the further construction was stopped. Nevertheless, there are still wonderful art treasures to admire. The Verdun altar, a jewel of medieval enamel art, the collegiate church with its magnificent baroque interior and the imperial oratorio of Charles VI, as well as the original preserved festive organ from the 17th century. A medieval cloister, festive steps and room escapes, wine cellars, museum... and much more can be seen.

  Great place to visit that combines a beautiful church and art, with the art of wine. The highlight is the main church, which is awe inspiring in its decor and presence. The main altar is simply stunning and the various paintings on the sides are not to be missed. Next comes the wine tour, with a visit to their massive cave system. If it’s a warm day, go here to cool off. Then, enjoy a sampling of their various wines in the cave-based tasting room. Great visit all around.
