Schlossberg, Graz

4.7
#1 of 65 in Parks in Styria
Walk around Schlossberg, the public park offering extensive views of the city, and home to a fortress, castle, and clock tower. Sit down and relax on benches and grassy areas throughout the park, take in a show at one of the entertainment venues, and enjoy a meal at one of the cafes or restaurants. Explore the walking paths across the park, and walk or take the elevator or funicular to the top of the hill for the best views of the city. Dress in layers for warmth, as the top of the hill can be windy. Add Schlossberg and other attractions to your Graz trip itinerary using our Graz trip itinerary planning tool .

  • The Schlossberg called by the poles of the clock mountain is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places on Earth. I love this place and I visit them whenever I am in Graz. The mountain in the middle of the city with a wonderful view of the rooftops of the city. Here you can walk, picnic, explore. There are also restaurants, pubs, gardens and a concert hall. A good place for a romantic meeting and time with your family. You can take the elevator or climb up the trail through the park or stairs. You can also drive down the wagon ☺️ it is in my opinion the most attractive place in Graz and certainly one of the most attractive in Austria.

  • If in Graz this is a must, weather it is day or night it is well worth the effort of a walk to the top, the history is fascinating and the views over the city amazing.  more »

  • A place with great view. A reasonable walk up, not very hard, so even small kids could go. Fantastic panorama view of the city from the top. You can chill in a restaurant or just wander around. Price for the trolley is very reasonable, so if you're not a fan of walking - just ride up and down! It's worth it
  • Very nice view of the city. The climb is fairly easy (250 steps). Took a lot of pictures on the way and even more once we got up there. Try to catch the sunset there for an even more exceptional experience!
