Widely regarded as the jewel of Sydney Harbor, Camp Cove features white sands and tranquil waters favored by swimmers, snorkelers, and divers. The beach overlooks a stretch of water facing the central business district’s skyline. There’s also a raised promenade on the beach, which offers additional vantage points ideal for watching the sunset or photographing the city. Several food kiosks operate right on the sand, but you can also visit a number of nearby restaurants, famous for their fish and chips. This area is a significant historic site, with a number of indigenous rock engravings of whales and fish. Plenty of parking is available, and rustic changing room facilities are also provided for your convenience. more »It was early summer when I came here before, but this time I visited in early autumn. It was a little cool, but there were still a few people swimming. The beach is as white as ever, and the water is very beautiful. There is no smell of the sea at all. It is a trail and you can go to the lighthouse at the tip.
A beautiful little cove tucked away from the tourists. Beautiful colors and easy to walk to from the ferry.
Nice beach, can get crowded and parking can sometimes be an issue. I go there to scuba dive as it is protected from most weather and makes a great night dive location.
