  • Staying recently at the Sheraton we enjoyed daily walks along the beach, we climbed to the lookout and watched yachts out in the water. Very peaceful and fabulous not having high rise buildings along....  more »
  • Water was a lovely 26 degrees. Beach has nice fine sand and good for a long stroll. Stinger nets had just been removed that week  more »

  • IS THAT ALL? A four mile PARADOX that oscillates between surprisingly ordinary & breathtaking. My first glimpse was when I made my way onto the sand from the main city street & initially disappointed. The tide was out, the sand & water were not pristine, but a nice array of palms followed the entire curvature of the coast. BUT, it grows on you, the majesty & splendour begins to slowly appear & the appeal also grows. The scenario is enhanced when the tide comes in & the large body of water creates a magnificent vista. My partner & I even visited at night, though initially she was reluctant re potential crocodiles, the view was worth the time & effort as the cool sea breeze washed over us. We were there a week, the town & the beach permeates your senses to the point where you love both & reluctant to leave. Visit Four Mile beach as often as you can & you will soon appreciate & love the sheer beauty of this wonderful part of our country. Highly recommend, only swim by the nets or where officials patrol & provide security. Cheers.
  • Great looking beach. Due to the jellyfish it wasn't an ideal place to swim
