The supplier of 80 percent of Victoria's grapes, Mildura is an integral part of the Australian wine industry. The succulent grapes and oranges that grew there after World War II were picked mostly by migrant Italian and Grecian workers, who established the town in 1934 and contributed to the city's laid-back Mediterranean feel.
