Yarra River, Melbourne

4.4
#3 of 332 in Nature in Victoria
Water Body · Hidden Gem · Nature / Park
By day, you can enjoy walking, jogging, or cycling up one side of Yarra River, through the parks and paved paths of Southbank Promenade. These paths lead visitors toward an impressive array of sports arenas, including the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Rod Laver Centre, and the former Olympic stadium. On the Central Business District side of the river, you can stop at a bar or cafe before heading into the center of the city. At night, the cityscape visible from the riverside is bright and vibrant, and the views up and down the river from the higher floors of buildings, such as the harbor-side Hilton, are particularly notable. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Yarra River and many more Melbourne attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Melbourne trip itinerary builder website.
