  • We visited this place as both myself and my partner love learning about the history of places and really appreciate war memorials due to both having family that have served for generations! This place is wonderful, it's really really well presented and everything is easy to see and read. I'd highly recommend for anyone and everyone to give it a visit.
  • Beautiful memorial for WW1 soldiers. Good place to take a rest with good view of the city. At night this place is more gorgeous than during daytime
  • An amazing piece of Australian history! It was a great idea to invite students fron around Victoria.
  • Plenty to see and do. The public can access into the shrine. The best part is at the rooftop where we get a glimpse of Melbourne. There is another access to the museum from left side of the shrine. Lots of historical events and stories were told using high tech projectors and screens. Special event to pay tribute and respect on ANZAC day every 25th of April
  • Climb the shrine during the working hours for a great view of the surrounding area. A place to rest for a moment and think about the past, present and the future

Where to stay in Melbourne

The hub of tourist and commercial activity, the center of Melbourne remains the best place to stay if you're looking to splurge and enjoy every possible modern amenity during your visit. Travelers on a limited budget can search for cozy yet less expensive rooms in the seaside suburb of St Kilda or the bohemian neighborhood of Fitzroy. Though the city center offers more than a fair share of mid-range lodging options, you'll also find plenty of rooms in this price bracket in the quieter suburbs.
