Norm wrightson hairway reviews
Don't expect any fancy fitout at norm Wrightsons shop but you will get a good haircut. No appointments but wait is normally only short. more »
have had many a haircut at this historic venue over the years and with so many chairs one rarely has to wait long. Staff do a good job and prices are ok but not as cheap as some. more »
A classic old fashioned men's barber offering good quality men's hair cuts, in an 85 year old barber shop that is a fascinating museum in its own right. I was visiting Fremantle and sought recommendations from locals for a good barber, and this is where they directed me. Fast, friendly service. Highly recommend.
Norm's 6 Chairs is a Fremantle Institution and well worth the visit if you need a cut. I've been getting my hair cut in Fremantle since 1980. I've been to a very large selection of the local barbers and salons over the years. Kennedy's in South Tce is good, but a bit of pot luck. Other's I've been to are gone or long gone like Snippers near the current Kakulas Sisters location. 6 Chairs is a lot of fun if you enjoy vintage. You can get any cut you want, but I like the iconic Aussie Short Back and Sides like Don Bradman used to sport. My favourite cutter at 6 Chairs is Soroosh. She's very competent, and gives a very good cut-throat shave, with hot towel etc. Other barbers there over time have been good, bit Soroosh is the constant. If you're a tourist give it a go, it's as much fun as the quoka's on Rottnest. And as good as some of the salons I've been to in London, NYC, LA, and Europe. Have fun. It'll give you a feeling of what Fremantle was like back in the day...
