Floravilla produces biodynamic ice cream featuring exotic fruits and traditional flavours. The tantalizing selection of flavours includes old favourites such as chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. Daintree vanilla, which is used in Floravilla ice cream, is recognised as amongst the finest in the world and is grown almost next door to Floravilla.

Local tropical fruits in season are used to produce exciting exotic flavours. Then there is Guinness ice cream, black sapote and chocolate liqueur, chilli chocolate and double chocolate, rum and raisin. There is something for everyone.

An Italian ice cream maker sampled Floravilla ice cream and praised it as being the nicest ice cream he had ever tasted. He then supplied a recipe for vanilla ice cream which he believed dated back about 200 years. We now produce it as Vanilla Classic. This is in addition to our standard vanilla ice cream.

The ice cream is hand made on our premises and absolutely no preservatives, artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners are used.

The milk and yoghurt used in the manufacture of our ice cream is produced by the world renowned Mungalli Creek Biodynamic Organic Dairy. Most of the fruit used is grown on organic farms in the Daintree. Orchards are nurtured by the rich volcanic soils and fresh natural air from the rainforest. There is no pollution from chemicals or cities and you can taste the difference. The flavour of our ice cream reflects this beautiful clean green environment.

  • We visited Floravilla Ice Cream Factory on a late Sunday afternoon. Upon arrival, we were surprised learn that a majority of the 30+ advertised flavours were available. Plus, the ice-cream portion is served in a small plastic cup, covered with a plastic lid; ice cream cones (waffle, cake or sugar) are not available. Thankfully, the business offers to manage the plastic waste. We tried Coconut and Ginger, Ginger and Triple Chocolate. All flavours were delicious but the portions were equivalent to a single scoop and cost $5 each.
