Trip Planner: South Pacific / Australia / Queensland / Cairns Region / Cairns / Brett's Outback Tasting Adventures
Hi, my name is Brett and I'd like to tell you what an afternoon on my Kuranda & Palm cove Tour entails.Make Brett's Outback Tasting Adventures a part of your Cairns vacation plans using our Cairns online driving holiday planner.
Leaving at 11am means you can enjoy a morning on the beach, a visit to the Rainforest Habitat, go shopping, visit the Sunday markets or just have a long lie-in before I pick you up from your accommodation anywhere in Port Douglas. A late departure means we miss the queues and with a maximum of only 12 guests you'll be guaranteed personal service.
Our first stop is at the multi-award winning Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Enjoy a spectacular journey to Kuranda over some of the oldest Rainforest on earth and with 2 stops on the way you can wander around the boardwalks and visit the Interpretive Centre and learn all about the delicate rainforest ecosystem.
On arrival at Kuranda I'll be there to meet you and show you around this 'Village in the Rainforest'. Famous for its arts and crafts market. Kuranda has many other attractions including the popular Birdworld and Butterfly Sanctuary and boasts many great places for lunch.
After approximately2 hours in Kuranda it's time for a trip to Cairns on one of the top rail journeys in Australia. The Kuranda Scenic Rail follows the curves of the Barron Gorge as it weaves its way down to Cairns. Built over 100 years ago to link the coast with the mining towns of the Tablelands., this railway was instrumental in the initial development of Cairns as the major city of Far North Queensland.
I then take you to the beautiful Palm Cove for a scenic drive along the palm fringed Esplanade before stopping for a delicious 'Kuranda Cocktail' and a walk on the beach or jetty, before returning at dusk to Port Douglas and the end of our afternoon together.
